I am an Associate Research Professor at Northern Arizona University (NAU), Director of the Species from Feces Team, Bat Ecology & Genetics Lab, and Ancient DNA Lab, and an associate director of NAU’s Pathogen and Microbiome Institute. Through the Species from Feces (SFF) program, we deliver DNA-based solutions for wildlife detection, biodiversity monitoring, and biosecurity. Our team specializes in extracting actionable information from challenging sample types—including fecal, environmental, airborne, and ancient DNA—when traditional survey methods fall short. We are advancing airborne eDNA and complementary environmental DNA tools to enable rapid, non-invasive detection across diverse environments and species. By combining high-throughput sequencing with rigorous analytical workflows, we provide reliable, management-ready data tailored to client needs.
